The Recipe

-----------------------------------CRUST----------------------------------- 27 Original Oreo cookies (with

- filling); crushed fine 5 tb Butter; softened

------------------------------------CAKE------------------------------------ 15 Original Oreo cookies (with

- filling); coarsely crumble 2 1/4 c All purpose flour

1 1/2 ts Baking powder

1 1/2 ts Baking soda

1/2 c Butter

1 1/3 c Sugar

3 Eggs; separated

2/3 c Sour cream

2 1/2 oz Semi sweet chocolate, melted

- and cooled 1 ts Vanilla extract

1 1/3 c Water

----------------------------------FILLING---------------------------------- 5 tb Softened butter

2 1/2 c Sifted confectioners' sugar

1 ts Vanilla extract

1/4 c Milk (+ -)

----------------------------------FROSTING---------------------------------- 5 tb Softened butter

2 1/3 c Sifted confectioners sugar

1/4 c Cocoa

1 ts Vanilla extract

1/4 c Heavy cream (+ -)

Garnish: Miniature Oreos, cut in half Additional crushed Oreos Crust: Grease two nine-inch cake pans and line each with a circle of parchment or wax paper. Set aside. Crush oreos fine and combine with melted butter. Pat into bottom of one pan. Bake at 350 for 5 minutes. Set aside. -----
